The Wirral Peninsular in north, west England is a flat, 11 mile long peninsular situated between the River Mersey, the River Dee, the Irish Sea and the coastline of North Wales.

The area is reknowned for it's estuary, sea and mountain views,stunning sunsets, miles of sandy beaches and for being a haven for wildlife and sporting enthusiasts.

Other reknowned attractions include port-sunlight-village, the Lady Lever Art Gallery, Spaceport Science Centre,  Mersey Ferry tours, Birkenhead Park, the once thriving, former holiday resort of New Brighton and a wealth of upmarket, bars, restaurants and shopping.

The Peninsular is served by a good transport network of motorways, metro rail and buses and is only 20 minutes by road from the city of liverpool, 30 minutes by road from the city of chester and one hour by road from the city of Manchester.

Built in 1903 by soap king and local benefactor Lord Leverhulme, this former temperance hall is now an up market 3 star hotel, set in the grounds of the grade II listed village of Port Sunlight, a visitor attraction in it's own right.

Today the hotel offers fine dining, a well stocked bar, fitness centre and single, double and family rooms.


Royden Park


CH48 1NP.

This grade II listed house is one of the most prestigious hotels on the Wirral, with it's 18 luxury suites and bedrooms offering jacuzzi and four poster beds. This upmarket 4 Star establishment also offers visitors a chauffeur driven Rolls Royce pick up service.

The hotel also provides excellent bar and restaurant services.

This hotel is situated in the grounds of the beautiful and scenic Royden Park, another of Wirral's attractions.


15 Mount Avenue


CH60 4RH

This 6 roomed, 3 Star hotel offers standard single, double and twin rooms, many of which have stunning views looking out towards the River Dee and the Black Hills of north Wales.

Also available is an inhouse restaurant and bar, and resident car park, all set in a friendly public house atmosphere in the picturesque, estuary town of Heswall.


Leasowe Road

The original castle on this site was built in 1592 as an observation platform for landed gentry wishing to watch horseracing on the nearby Meols Sands.

The castle is situated on the west Wirral coast and commands stunning views over the Irish Sea and Liverpool Bay.

Owned and run by the Lawton Hotels Group, this prestigious 3 Star hotel is also positioned next to a local golf course and set in 6 acres of landscaped gardens.

Situated in the Wirral Peninsular's interior, this 15 roomed, 3 Star hotel offers guests luxury en suite accommodation in what was once a large, private residence.

The hotel also provides restaurant and bar services and beautiful, manicured gardens, in what is the Wirral's highest rated 3 Star hotel.

This 16 roomed, 3 star hotel is family owned and run and is another hotel set in the village of Oxton, a short distance from the Wirral Peninsular's county town of Birkenhead.

Another former large, private residence with a large garden, this hotel provides standard single, double and family rooms.

It's in house restaurant provides customers with simple,locally sourced food on both it's breakfast and dinner menu.


Neston Road

Thornton Haugh

CH63 1JF.

This superior, 4 star hotel situated in the picturesque village of Thornton Haugh offers it's guests the height of luxury in both it's standard double and twin rooms and in it's superior, executive double rooms, all of which offer views of the outlying countryside or hotel grounds.

The hotel offers a pub style bar, a restaurant and a cafe as well as a state of the art fitness centre, gym, fitness shop,beauty clinic and large car park.

On certain evenings the hotel hosts live party nights.

CH66 1QU.

This 3 Star hotel situated on the Wirral Peninsular's east coast, offers it's customers standard single, double and twin, en suite rooms with king size beds.

Also available is an in house bar and restaurant run by the hotel's own resident chef.( No bar or restaurant Sunday nights )

Complete with car park facilities, the hotel is ideally situated ten minutes walk from a local metro rail station.

Great work, DeeBee. I've never been here, although I have been to Liverpool. Some very nice buildings here- I would love to stay at Leasowe Castle. Voted, liked, tweeted and stumbled.
